Stream your living-room PC to every screen you own

temstream is a Chinese-language guide to Moonlight and Sunshine — free, cross-platform, and low-latency game streaming over your home network or the public internet.

Pick your scenario, then jump in

Are you streaming inside one home network, or reaching your home PC from the public internet? The two setups use very different tools and links — pick the one you actually need, and every entry below maps to it.

Scenario 1

Stream over the public internet

Play your home PC from anywhere in the world

Use Tailscale to put both ends on the same virtual subnet, and stand up the temstream management portal for public-internet access. Latency is higher than LAN, but as long as both networks are decent, picture quality is uncapped.

  • No public IP / port forwarding — the VPN route is the most stable
  • Streams from any distance, even across cities
  • Manage multiple hosts centrally through the temstream portal
Scenario 2

Stream over your home network

Send your living-room PC to the bedroom / balcony / TV

Just Sunshine + Moonlight. No portal, no port forwarding. On the same subnet, open Moonlight's login page, type in Sunshine's LAN IP and access password, and you're streaming. Easily hits 4K HDR @ 120fps. Lowest latency, highest picture quality. The recommended setup for home use.

  • Login page takes IP + password — no Add Host, no PIN pairing
  • Comfortably 4K 120fps / 150 Mbps over gigabit wired
  • No public exposure — smallest attack surface

How it works

One PC hosts, any device plays — start streaming in three steps.

  1. 1

    Host encodes

Sunshine runs on your gaming PC, capturing the screen and audio and encoding in real time using NVENC, QuickSync or AMF.

  2. 2

    Stream over the network

The NVIDIA GameStream protocol (reimplemented by Moonlight) carries the video over LAN or via Tailscale.

  3. 3

    Client decodes & plays

Moonlight on Windows, Android, iOS, Mac, Linux or TV decodes the video and sends your controller and keyboard input back to the host.
