Start LAN streaming in 4 steps
Just two pieces of software — no portal, no port forwarding. Everything happens on the same subnet.
You are in
Home network (LAN)
- 1
Install Sunshine on your gaming PC
Download and run the Sunshine Windows installer on your gaming PC; ViGEmBus (virtual gamepad driver) and friends are installed automatically. When setup finishes, a Sunshine icon appears in the system tray.
- 2
Set the access password and note the LAN IP
Right-click the tray icon and choose "Config". In LAN direct-connect mode, check "Enable LAN direct connection" and set a connection password, then save the configuration. The local LAN IP can be obtained from your machine's network information (usually 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x).
- 3
Install Moonlight on your client device
Install Moonlight on the device you want to play on: for Windows, unzip the zip archive; for Android, install the universal APK. Make sure that device is on the same router / same Wi-Fi subnet as the gaming PC (prefer 5GHz on phones).
- 4
Type the IP + password on the Moonlight login page to stream
Open Moonlight. On the login page, type in the gaming PC's LAN IP from step two (e.g. 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) and the access password you set in step two, hit connect, and the stream starts. No "Add Host", no PIN pairing, no port to enter.
